Dr. David Doane, Ph.D.
Dr. Doane is a licensed psychological therapist devoted to helping individuals, couples and families. With more than 35 years experience, he entered full-time private practice after receiving degrees from Duquesne University (BA), Bowling Green State University (MA), and Kent State University (Ph.D.) He has conducted programs nationally and he specializes in psychotherapy, the process of deepening individual awareness and facilitating change. He believes that each of us as individuals are part of bigger systems that include our families and peers and his philosophy and style always include attention to this bigger system so that issues are addressed as holistically as possible. Dr. Doane is a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, The American Psychological Association, The Ohio Psychological Association and you can find his writing on psychotherapy in outlets such as Voices - the journal published by The American Academy of Psychotherapists and the Ohio Psychologist - the journal of the Ohio Psychological Association. He is also a columnist for Life's Journey Magazine. Originally from Cleveland, Dr. Doane been married to his wife Barbara for 40 years and has two daughters.
